I am pretty sure no one is reading this, but welcome anyway! Why am I doing this? I have no idea. None. At all. Well, okay. I will admit that I have a MySpace set up for the family to keep up with us, but I am pretty sure that the only ones who use it are a few of my nieces and my sister in law - all under 20. This feels more mature and family oriented.
So the family- Me and Danny, Vincent (aka Trini) will be 20 on August 17th. Born on the day I think Quetzalcoatl was supposed to return. He is working in a Mexican restaurant this summer and learning lots of Spanish - even some good words. He likes it and says that the guys there have really taken him in and treat him like he is family, even if he doesn't play soccer. Funny how they don't call him Orlando Bloom. They call him Paco Palencia. He does bear a striking resemblance
Tony graduated! It came down to the last minute with him and hehad to ace his exams or not graduate. He was stressed. I am glad he made it, but I didn't buy pictures or announcements just in case. So, they will be in the mail later this month. He went to Jamaica for 2 weeks with friends after graduation. The boy had been paying on this for all school year and had a great time. We don't know what's next for him, but I am guessing school will not be on the list for a few years.
Dylan lives with us. He's my nephew who is 17 as of tomorrow. He is doing well, taking geometry in summer school to catch up with state requirements. He'll graduate in '07. He has been working with Danny to make some money, too. I call him a shoe ho. He'll do anything for new shoes. I meant it in the nicest possible way.
Dylan and Joey
Joey is 16. He is a crazy guitar player. He has long, skinny, spider like fingers and can play pretty well. He taught himself using the internet. He is smart, too, but you probably wouldn't notice that. Like Dylan, ladies love him. He is spending time at the beach this summer and getting brown. My blonde baby is turning Mexican! He is totally Felix.
Marty is finally growing. What he makes up for in stature he sure has in guts. The boy has no fear. A boy on his bus made a racial comment about Sebas (see below) and Marty made him cry. Did I mention that they boy outweighed him by about 50 pounds? Yeah. He makes decent grades and will be in 8th grade. He hangs with his best bud Chad a lot, or with my dad.
Sebastian is going to summer school to get some help with math. He is a quiet kid with a wicked sense of humour and he is obsessed with skateboarding. He is 8.
Frances is getting nervous about kindergarten. SHe has never been to school before and this is a big deal to her. We went and got shots and physical, so now we have to go and actually register. She is going nuts here when everyone is gone and there is no one to play with. I think she will do well in school - make friends and like learning. We'll see.
